Red Sky Performance is a Toronto-based company that shapes contemporary world Indigenous performance in dance, theatre and music. Their new web site highlights past and future performances, while also showcasing additional media and interactive features.
Working in conjunction with Strange Duck Media, I was responsible for implementing the provided design and requirements, as well as developing the back-end and interactive tools for the site using an extensively customized Drupal 6.x installation. I adapted existing Drupal modules and coded new ones from scratch to implement some of the site’s advanced features, such as:
• An interactive map of the Canadian treeline, which highlights numerous
relevant points of interest on an embedded Google Map.
• An events calendar with both text and calendar views.
• A photo gallery.
• A full blog, with multiple categories and moderated commenting.
• Dublin Core meta tagging for all site pages.
